Product Description Rose loves Dimitri, Dimitri might love Tasha, and Mason would die to be with Rose... It's winter break at St. Vladimir's, but Rose is feeling anything but festive. A massive Strigoi attack has put the school on high alert, and now the Academy's crawling with Guardians--including Rose's hard-hitting mother, Janine Hathaway. And if handto- hand combat with her mom wasn't bad enough, Rose's tutor Dimitri has his eye on someone else, her friend Mason's got a huge crush on her, and Rose keeps getting stuck in Lissa's head while she's making out with her boyfriend, Christian! The Strigoi are closing in, and the Academy's not taking any risks....This year, St. Vlad's annual holiday ski trip is mandatory. But the glittering winter landscape and the posh Idaho resort only create the illusion of safety. When three friends run away in an offensive move against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. But heroism rarely comes without a price...

Crazy about Richelle Mead July 27, 2010 KristinKatastrophe When I first began reading the series, I liked it. A lot. But that was it. With every new book added to the series, I've grown to love these books and I can hardly wait for the next one. The series is not just another series about vampires. It has a REAL story to it. There's no glorifying blood-drinking or magic or any of that crap that I've grown tired of in other books. It's about the characters, wonderful, interesting characters. Anybody that doesn't read these books at least once is missing out!
Well worth it! July 24, 2010 Chambrot Being a Twilight fan I dare to say this series is Better!!!! I love the way this author has come up with such an intriguing Vampire society. I loved all the books and can't wait for the final one to come out in December 2010.
More Enjoyable Than the First Book July 23, 2010 Teen Books Reviewer (Omaha) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A vampire attack confines the students at the vampire academy to the school, despite winter break. The students, faculty, and students' families end up spending Christmas together at a luxury ski resort. The adventure, romance, and teen high school confusion continues, but the ending is dramatic, and one of Rose's friends is killed. An absorbing read!
Bite In Deeper July 11, 2010 Darcy Kath Wow this book was increble, Frost Bite was awsome. In this book we finally meet Adrian the fun and rich newphen of the vampire queen, who becames another great love interest for Rose. We can to see more of the Strogi, a evil scary vampire, who really will terrify the reader.
The best scene was with Mason at the end when he dies saving Rose from the Strogi, that was truely moving. I hope the make the Vampire Academy books into movies one day or even a tv series.
Darcy Kath, Author Of Tyson Stone And The Legend Of All Legends
Adrian Ivashkov is the reason... July 6, 2010 Jeng (GUAM, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The only thing that makes me continue to read the novel is Adrian Ivashkov character. I like him so much. I love his bad boy reputation but deep inside he is a good guy. I like his funny side too...
