Product Description

there are two sides toevery breakup.

This is Jordan and Courtney, totally in love. Sure, they were an unlikely high school couple. But they clicked; it worked. They're even going to the same college, and driving cross-country together for orientation.

Then Jordan dumps Courtney -- for a girl he met on the Internet.

It's too late to change plans, so the road trip is on. Courtney's heartbroken, but figures she can tough it out for a few days. La la la -- this is Courtney pretending not to care.

But in a strange twist, Jordan cares. A lot.

Turns out, he's got a secret or two that he's not telling Courtney. And it has everything to do with why they broke up, why they can't get back together, and how, in spite of it all, this couple is destined for each other.

5 out of 5 stars Cute story.   August 25, 2010

This is a must read!! Lauren Barnholdt is very creative with the way she wrote this book. Not only do you hear from both characters in the present, but you also hear both sides starting the night they started dating. It really hooks you in, and just keeps you wanting to read. The characters are great, with a lot of depth and thought. The characters reflect real life people, where in some novels the characters are incredibly fake. The book was definately original, something you generally wouldn't think of as a story. So get out there and get yourself a copy :)

1 out of 5 stars I agree... Not worth your time!   August 12, 2010

3 out of 3 found this review helpful

Shallow characters and a story very thin on plot. Oh yeah, there wasn't a plot at all. It's a simplistic story. The hero is a heel. He's a rake that isn't really reformed. You just don't believe him. The heroine is okay, but flaky. ***Spoiler Alerts*** I felt really bad for her best guy friend Lloyd. She just ups and leaves him in the air, when it's easy to see he really loves her. She never resolves anything with him and that is cruel. The characters around Jordan and Courtney are more interesting than Jordan and Courtney. For two teens who take AP classes, their dialog and vocabulary could have been higher. The author has no idea how smart kids, who take all AP classes are, or what they are into at all. You don't have guys like Jordan in AP classes. Courtney is more typical. I don't like that their teen friends are into drinking, having sex and buying drugs. This is not a good book for teens. You also know that once Courtney and Jordan are back together, in the end, she'll cave and want to lose it all to Jordan... who isn't very mature. This just wasn't believable at all. First off, Jordan, who is the male lead, talks and thinks like a female. You have two teens who are smart enough to get into Boston U, acting like street gang kids who dropped out of high school. The story is tasteless, as you have his mother and her father into an affair. The whole thing is a waste to read. Not a recommend for teens or anyone!

4 out of 5 stars Jordyns review   June 23, 2010

Two way street is a story of true love and how sometimes, well...it get's side tracked. Courtney and Jordan were two peas in a pod. They loved each other with all they had. But for some odd reason Jordan dumped Courtney when she thought it was all going great. And worst of all they had already planed on the road trip together for collage. Now poor Courtney is stuck in a not so great situation with an ex she is definitly NOT over. How can she make it? And what coused the Break up if he still cares?

When i read this book it was after a break up and let me tell you, it helped. As i was reading i relized that things are not always what they seem, and sometimes, if you hang on long enough, life has a way of flinging things right back at you. And i love how the author has make that so obvious. Two way street shows how miraclous life can be, and sometimes the pepole we love the most, can hurt us the most...even if they dont mean too.
